Buddhist temples in Nara. World Heritage

In the early history of Japan, Nara prefecture was the center of the politics, the culture and the economy in Yamato Period, Asuka Period and Nara Period. Japanese people just believed their animism, the origine of “Shinto”(神道) until Asuka Period.     It is said that Seong of Baekje, the ancient king of the  country in Korean Peninsula, presented the Buddha statue and the satras for Emperor Kimmei in 552.(learn about Buddha statue)   After the conflict between the pros and cons for the accepting of it, Buddhism was settled as a state religion since then.
